Pinworms and Threadworms
Pinworms, also referred to as threadworms, are small, white parasitic worms that infect the human intestines. They live in the large intestine and lay eggs around the anus, causing intense itching and discomfort that worsens at night, leading to difficulty sleeping. Your pharmacist may be able to prescribe medications to kill the infection and reduce the symptoms.
Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy
Nausea and vomiting of pregnancy is commonly known as “morning sickness”, however it can happen at any time of the day. It usually occurs starting in the middle of the 1st trimester of pregnancy. Symptoms may include either nausea or vomiting, or both, and may vary in duration and frequency.
Hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids happen when veins in the rectum become swollen. Sometimes you can see or feel them. Other times you may not be able to if they are too far inside the rectum. Hemorrhoids can cause itching, burning, and pain.
Heartburn
Heartburn can happen when acid in your stomach comes back up into your throat or mouth. This can cause burning or pain in your chest, an unpleasant taste, bad breath, or belching (burping). Your pharmacist may be able to prescribe treatments to help with these symptoms.
